Madhya Pradesh Public Services Guarantee Act 2010 was passed in the assembly today. This is the first ever law in the country which guarantees delivery of public services to common people in a stipulated time frame. The chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan called it a historic day. He further mentioned that key public services would be listed and their delivery would be guaranteed for example caste domicile certificates ,birth, , tapped water supply connections etc. In case of delay in the services, the concerned officer will have to pay a fine of Rs. 250 per day. The amount of maximum fine would be Rs. 5000
