How to write quality articles?

Before any writer starts writing an article, there are a no. of things going on, in his/her mind, like : the topic, the way of presentation, types of images he/she would be putting in it, length of the article etc.

I would here like to discuss some such aspects that are very essential when we talk about writing quality articles.

•Title is the most important aspect of any article. The first thing that any reader sees is the Title. If the title is attractive the readers are bound to read the article. One thing that a writer should keep in mind is that the title should be short but at the same time it should present the main essence of the article.

•The way of presentation is another aspect that is essential. If you just put all sentences together in one flow the readers would get bored after a certain point. Articles should always be presented in paragraphs. The sentences you want the reader to read and relate in a similar flow should be clubbed into one paragraph.

•Also using bullets and numbering can help you to arrange your articles neatly.

•One more aspect of presentation is the use of proper HTML tags. You can highlight the important words and points in bolds using HTML tags like <b>. [Note : If you are not familiar with HTML tags do not use them since wrong usage may interfere with the site's layout design.]

•The use of Punctuation marks are also very important in any article. The way you would use them is what the readers would understand. Say for example: You want the reader to understand that he has to give a pause after reading a few words, then you should put a comma after the word where you want the reader to pause. e.g.: Ram said, wait for my brother. Here the reader will know that the author is emphasizing on what Ram said and while reading he would stop for a while after reading Ram said.

•You can also make use of sub headings in your articles. If you want to break up your article into different related parts you should make use of tags like <H2> or <H3>. Like titles, sub headings also should be short and informative, explaining the essence in the paragraph below it.

•Another important point to be considered in any article writing is laying emphasis on the main essence of the article. Like for e.g. if we talk about this particular article the emphasis should be laid on writing quality articles or writing good articles. Hence, while writing, identify the main essence and lay a little emphasis on it.

•You can use images in articles but only the ones that are not copied from anywhere. Only self-clicked or created(in Paint\Photoshop) images are allowed. However, you can take images for product promotion from the respective official site only. Say you are writing an article on Nokia handset, then you can take its picture but only from the official website of Nokia. You can also get image for some historical person/monument that is no more in the world, from the web. Say you need image of Rabindra Nath Tagore or Babari Masjid, as it's not possible to click there photos now hence you can take it up from web.

•Proper casing is also very important. You cannot write everything in capital/small letters. The first letter after full stop and the first letter of the beginning word of any paragraph should always be in capital letters.

•The last but not the least, the most important point when you are finished with writing and are ready to post your article is the use of spell and grammar checker. Before posting any article you should always run the spell check (available in the MS Word) on your article. By doing so you would be able to find out errors in your post and it would also suggest the required corrections. Thus, saving your article from going to the pending status.
