About Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board
Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MP-PEB) is an autonomous, self financed body of the State government which is an amalgamation of two primary test boards of Madhya Pradesh. One was set up in 1970 for, governing the Pre-Medical Test(PMT) held in the state for admission to MBBS/BDS/BVSc courses and the other was set up in 1981 to, govern the Pre-Engineering Test(PET) for admission to engineering and architecture courses.
In 1982 the Government of Madhya Pradesh merged these two boards to form one single board named MP-Professional Examination Board. From that day onwards MP-PEB is responsible for conducting all entrance tests in the state towards the admission to several courses in various colleges of Madhya Pradesh.
Currently MP-PEB is conducting the below mentioned entrance tests in M.P:
The admission to various institutes in M.P recognised by AICTE, MCI, NCTE etc is possible only on the basis of the ranking of the student in the entrance tests conducted by MP-PEB.
The entrance tests are conducted in various cities in the state and also outside the state.
The pattern of examination for mostly all the entrance tests conducted by the board is same. The question papers are objective type and the correct answers have to be marked in an OMR sheet. These
Answer sheets are evaluated by scanners and the whole process of evalutaion is computerised so as to make sure that the evaluation is impartial and honest.
