According to the latest vacancy advertisement by Indian Institute of Technology Indore, it is inviting applications for the post of Chief Engineer (Project) on contractual or deputation basis.

Details about vacancy for Chief Engineer at IIT Indore

The above said position of Chief Engineer will be on contract basis for a particular project. The pay scale would be PB-4 i.e. Rs.37,400 – Rs.67,000 with a grade pay of Rs.10,000. The total emoluments is Rs.96,868 in the minimum pay scale.

Qualifications and Experience required for the post of Chief Engineer at IIT Indore

1. A minimum of first class degree in B.E/B.Tech Civil is a must for the candidates to apply for this position. Post graduates in Civil Engineering would be given preference.

2. The candidate must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in Construction, Planning, Contract Management, Execution and functional services (like road, sewerage, water supply etc.) of building works. The candidate should have experience in preparing estimate and tender documents. He/she should have dealt with township maintenance work before. Candidates having knowledge and experience in co-ordinating construction work of the campus (like air-conditioning, rain water harvesting, electrical, solar heating systems, telephones, LANs) would be given preference.

3. One compulsory criterion, for the above post is that candidate should have worked as Superintending Engineer in CPWD/MES/PSUor other government autonomous body in the pay scale PB-4 with grade pay Rs.8700.

4. As such there is no age limit but candidates till 55yrs would be preferred. The age is relaxable for deserving candidates.
