MP government is organising a recruitment drive for the job of Village Development Officer or Patwari. The candidate will be primarily responsible for the development of the villages in MP. Read this article to find the details about the job, eligibility criteria and application procedure.

Madhya Pradesh Commissioner of Land Records is recruiting candidates for the post of MP Village Development Officer or more commonly called Patwari. There are a total of 2761 vacancies against this position, out of which 1571 posts are unreserved, 407 posts are reserved for SC, 466 for ST, 317 are reserved for OBC candidates.

The Pay Scale for the position of Village Development Officer is Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with a grade pay of Rs.2100.

Selections would be done through an online competitive exam. The MP Patwari/Village development 2012 examination dates would be after 25th March 2012. Selection would be based on the merit in exam and the merit in 12th std. Both the exam score would be given equal weightage of 50% each.

Eligibility Criteria for MP Village Development Officer / MP Patwari

The candidates are required to have passed HSC/10+2 from a recognised board. In addition to this, the candidates are also required to have done either 1 year diploma in computer application from a recognised university/institute or should have completed a course in DOEACC/IETE.

The candidates should also meet the required age limit to apply for this position. The candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and should not be more than 33 years of age (relaxed by 5 yrs for SC/ST/OBC, 10 yrs for UR female candidates and 15 yrs for female candidates from reserved categories) as on 1st Jan 2012.

All eligible candidates can apply online through authorized KIOSAK ofMP Online or MP Land Records websites. Candidates are required to pay an application fees of Rs.600 either at the KIOSAK centres or through Credit Card / Internet Banking of SBI, State Bank of Indore or Union Bank.

The application forms will be available from 9th February 2012 to 25th February 2012.
